Supply Chain Manager

Capital Outsourcing is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for Maputo.

Duties

• Procurement and Purchasing: review and formalize the procurement policy, establish a procurement database with comprehensive information on suppliers, price benchmarking, lists of goods and respective specifications and delivery turnaround times. Formalise quotation / tender procedures, best price for quality and service level objectives as well as supplier relationship management
• Importation: ensure adherence to import and export legislation and practices, streamline and manage the flow of the process
• Receiving: scrutinise and enforce documentation procedures and financial control
• Stores: inventory optimisation and management
• Inbound and Outbound Logistics: manage the supply chain and ensure that the flow is optimised and managed effectively. Ensure that policies, procedures and controls are in place, define process flows and reinforce documentation scrutiny
• Management of Warehouses: responsible for overall management of warehouses, including inventory optimisation, stock control and FIFO implementation, etc

Requisites

• Degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management or Commerce
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the purchasing and logistics area (essential)
• Knowledge of purchasing and logistics process in the milling industry (desirable)
• Management experience
• Experience in leading a specialized team
• Capable of enforcing world class procurement and logistics standards through coaching and implementation of revised / aligned policies and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Assertive , dynamic and proactive individual
• Leadership by example
• Ability to coach and motivate lower skills levels while maintaining discipline and acceptable work practices
• Able to work effectively independently as well as in a team structure
