Aldelia is recruiting a Specialist in Project Development and Coal Quality (m/f), to be based in Tete, Mozambique.
  • Actively coordinate for the development of process routes for product definition projects and the implementation of P & D programs, with emphasis on the introducing industry best practice, innovation, automation, technological improvement and monitoring of state of the art innovative technological solutions, in order to leverage the Moatize Project competitiveness in the areas specifically in the realm of coal product quality, optimized blending for yield and product quality enhancement, whole-of-coal chain stocks and stockpile management, quality consistency, quality control improvement and reduction in coal chain costs per product tonne
  • Responsible for the development of FEL1 (concept) and FEL 2 (basic engineering) studies and projects across all areas of developing a new direction for optimizing Integrated Planning and coal chain management, as well as the planning of technical and engineering studies to support the Integrated Planning and Engineering Areas and assist with clean coal stockpile operations management improvement in decision making (developing new, innovative solutions, undertaking of trade-off studies, drafting of proposals, participation in tender preparation, plant audits and "due diligence")
  • In respect of the engagement of external consultants, the Master Integrated Planning Studies Engineer is to assist with preparation of a thorough definition scope and preparation of all necessary documentation to the contracting process, contract supervision and quality assurance necessary to successful completion, in accordance with company’s Procurement guidelines. The Role is also to include the responsibility the ongoing documentation and monitoring of all activities relating to all studies and projects on a monthly reporting basis
  • Bachelor's degree in the Minery sector or any equivalent field
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven at least 5 years of experience in Coal Quality or as a Geologist
