Sharepoint Coordinator

Grindrod is recruiting a Sharepoint Coordinator, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

Technical

• Maintain up time on SharePoint infrastructures
• Daily administration of SharePoint infrastructure
• SharePoint Health, which includes the monitoring of key system health indicators such as Windows and SharePoint Event Logs
• SharePoint Performance, which includes the monitoring of key system performance indicators such as CPU ans Memory Usage
• Disaster Recovery Requirements, which involves the monitoring of all aspects required to ensure a successful recovery such as successful backups
• Engage in preventative maintenance as and when required to ensure an up to date environment
• The installation, testing and promotion to live of SharePoint service packs, hot-fixes and security updates
• The rebuilding of SharePoint Search indexes when required
• The rebuilding of SharePoint database indexes when required
• Generation of monthly reports detailing the current SharePoint environment status including any outstanding SharePoint Environment issues that were raised during monitoring. Usage statistics performance etc
• Licensing and documentation

Consulting

• Proactively initiate and facilitate SharePoint requirements gathering within each team in the company
• Interpret requirements and develop project plan with accurate timelines for implementation
• Develop working solutions from these project requirements and implement them within given timelines
• Providing training and handover to relevant teams, empowering them to continue independently and ensure active daily use of solution
• Documentation management within SharePoint for BU\'s
• Training of staff at all Mozambique companies
• Compliance and Governance in line with Grindrod Group standards
• Ability to engage with 3rd part vendors ie SAP/Pilotfish etc
• Ensure SharePoint access control in configured in such a way as to adequately empower satff, while negating any risk of unintentional access or demage to systems

Requisites

• A relevant information technology tertiary qualification and Microsoft Certification
• 2 years working experience in information technology industry using Microsoft Technologies
• 12 months experience working with SharePoint directly
• Previous development experience would be advantageous
• Proven extensive hands on experience in Windows 2012 Server and its product suit;
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft IIs, Load Balancing and other web technologies related to hosting SharePoint web Farms
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Trusts and working with trustedx domains in SharePoint
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL Programming
• Project Management skills with proven experience
