Senior Well Services Engineer (m/f)

Aldelia is recruiting a Senior Well Services Engineer (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Ensures SHE requirements are integral to all aspects of well testing and well intervention activities
  • Provides operational programs which account for and dictate best SHE practice
  • Lead by example during field visits and foster a solid SHE culture
  • Prepares well programs for execution with regards to well intervention, wellhead and subsurface safety valve (SSSV) maintenance and generates end of well reports
  • Feeds data into the well integrity management system (WIMS) and makes sure it is kept up to date
  • Supports preparation and evaluation of tenders
  • Collates well testing data in reports for the Sub Surface Department
  • Plans and supervises well remediation plans including well workovers using drilling rigs, hydraulic workover units, coil tubing or wireline equipment and service providers
  • Plans and supports all Safety Critical Element testing and maintenance
  • Prepares handover and well file documentation as well as uploading same to company’s server
  • Help the Well Services Supervisors in the field to coordinate day-to-day well maintenance and well intervention work
  • The incumbent is expected to regular travel to the field to lead and implement work and integrity programs
  • Ensures that all testing, intervention and coiled tubing activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations
  • Responsibility for optimizing testing, well test intervention, well test planning, costing and operations for one or more work streams
  • Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary
  • Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements
  • Liaise with sub-surface personnel to ensure reservoir requirements are delivered
  • Ensuring skills transfer to experienced Mozambique nationals as well as to young engineers is an essential component
  • Train all Engineers in Training (EiTs) passing through his area of responsibility in a cultural sensible and friendly manner
  • Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders and service companies
  • Assist in the management of the service contracts and contractor performance processes
  • Provide on-time well testing services which represent best industry practice
  • Maintain effective communications with Reservoir Management team and Production team to prioritize, plan and coordinate well services operations
Requisites
  • +15 years overall experience in Oil and Gas production operations activities
  • The role will require preparation of technical reports and presenting recommendations at all levels within the organization
