Description
  • The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Senior Strategic Information Program Specialist
Duties
  • The Senior Strategic Information Program Specialist will serve as a member of the Strategic Information (SI) Team within the CDC/Mozambique Division of Global HIV/AIDS and TB (DGHT) office. The position is based in the Epidemiology Branch and is supervised by the Epidemiology Branch Chief
  • The incumbent shapes SI policies and objectives, and the incumbent will be responsible for building overall capacity of CDC partners, including the Ministry of Health (MISAU) and the National Institute of Health (INS), by providing technical assistance to these partners in the monitoring, evaluation and epidemiological analysis of HIV/AIDS programs
  • The main duties of the position are to plan, initiate, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate complex HIV/AIDS SI. This position will also advise the MISAU, INS, and partners on program monitoring and evaluation implementation, document results, and translate data into meaningful policy and program improvement
  • The incumbent plays a key project management role for cooperative agreements, contractors, consultants and partners involved in HIV/AIDS program SI
  • The incumbent will also be a key technical contributor to the strengthening of information systems and utilization of data for evidence-based decision making within CDC partners and MISAU
