Senior Accountant (m/f)

Duties

• Assist to produce Management Accounts Report and Statutory Financial Statements as per established timetable
• Ensure all financial transactions are appropriately recorded in alignment with approved budget and supported with fiscally valid documentation
• Assist monthly reviewing all GL reconciliations, reviews the sub-ledgers and performs adhoc reconciliations as deemed necessary
• Track accounting staff deliverables to ensure established timetable is complied with; Administration of Company asset information
• Seconds the Finance Manager in depreciations runs & the Fixed Assets register report in MZN and USD
• Prepare all supporting information and or analysis for monthly/annual reviews & adhocqueries
• Others as deemed necessary by line manager

Requisites

• Education: Completed University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required, OCAM member
• Experience: At least 5 years experience as a professional accountant
• Skills required: Collaboration: A flexible, intellectually curious and resilient self-starter who can work on their own and with an established team, communicate in English and Portuguese; Computer literacy, Knowledge of mining is preferable, but not a prerequisite
