Research Project Manager (m/f)

PSI is recruiting a Research Project Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Leads project team and assumes full responsibility for the research project's overall success and results
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and partners at global, national, provincial and community level
  • Testing research questions and adapt interventions based on evidence and insights
  • Using interactive techniques to gain insights on target audience and use evidence-based insights to inform programming
  • Liaising between PSI and the local Ethic Committee ensuring all necessary amendments to the study protocol are communicated and implemented on time
  • Synthetizing external and internal evidence on effectiveness of interventions in the project
  • Ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Manage project and related specific activities within given constrains of time, budget and quality
  • Allocate work among field team members and provide guidance regularly
  • Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand problems or issues that may arise
  • Monitors project costs and provides explanations on expenditure
Requisites
  • Degree in relevant field, research background or equivalent experience in Public Health, Behavioral Sciences, Population Studies, Psychology, Communication, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design, management, analysis, and dissemination of research in Public Health
  • Working experience in Market Research (including behavioral segmentation), process evaluations, operational research, evaluations of communications effectiveness, and mobile health technologies
  • Ability to design and implement a wide range of quantitative and qualitative health research
  • Experience implementing programs at the community-level
  • Demonstrated ability to inform programmatic decisions using research results
  • Substantial experience with electronic data collection, designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Familiar with electronic data collection systems SurveyCTO and data analysis using STATA, SPSS
