Quality Assurance Officer

Heading Moçambique

Heading is recruiting for its client, a Quality Assurance Officer, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Develop and verify that SED data collection, recording, treatment, organization and administration methods and processes across all SED disciplines are adequate to render reliable data to inform reporting and adaptive management
  • Conduct data quality analysis with MERL Leads and MERL Officers of data reported on by implementation partners
  • Coordinate data collection and administration across all SED disciplines by promoting utilization of the various data collection tools and systems
  • Provide spatial analyses and GIS and mapping effectiveness verification
  • Ensure the necessary tools for maintaining; processing and reporting of collected data are developed
  • Develop processes to build the capacity of all SED teams and cross functions to ensure confident and effective use of data collection processes and methods
  • Manage and assess quality, integrity and comprehensiveness of all SED data and cross function teams and databases
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of SED data, including the identification of trends across all SED disciplines
  • Develop data and report models
  • Coordinating data administration, quality, analysis, and management across all SED disciplines
  • Support the implementation of socioeconomic development management plans by providing critically assessed data to implementation teams
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/data science, statistics, economics with basic knowledge of social sciences
  • 5 years’ experience in social data management, quality assurance and analysis
  • Comprehensive understanding of statistical analysis packages especially SPSSs, Atlas Tic and others
  • Comprehensive understanding of geospatial data, GIS analysis, workflow, and data maintenance
  • Familiarity with global industry best practice for environmental and social performance, requirements, and guidelines
  • Exposure to Borealis, Power BI, ISO- METRIX, or other big data management programs (including Excell)
  • Ability to use data and database software effectively and creatively to meet specific goals
  • Proven understanding of database design concepts, effective data storage and organization, and the benefits and limitations of database systems
  • Acute awareness of the importance of data integrity and quality control
  • Effective communication in Portuguese and English
  • Mozambique Northern Languages proficiency will be an advantage
