Product Handling Supervisor

PRI is recruiting a Product Handling Supervisor, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Active and positively contribute in the commissioning of the Product Handling Facility
• Responsible for supervising the bagging house, warehousing and dispatching the Finished Products
• Direct, advise, coach, train, supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of Product handling workers on daily basis
• Plans, organizes, and implements inventory operations and procedures; supervises Physical Inventory Count
• Provide warehouse and logistical advice and support to the Senior Team as required
• Minimising delays through rapid response to uncontrolled events
• Undertake daily work area inspections and report issues immediately to take appropriate action
• Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analysis assessments on work activities
• Continually monitor the warehouse environment to ensure the safety precautions are in place
• Ensure that the workplace traffic management plan is implemented effectively and communicated to all levels of worker
• Manage the safety & environmental training of the Product Handling Team
• Develop and manage quality assurance policies and procedures

Requisites

• A degree in Business administration or Warehouse Management or equivalent
• 2 + years’ experience in a similar role preferably with a logistics management focus
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Pro-activeness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
• Database skill level
• Contractor management experience highly desirable
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule as assigned including nights
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English
