Process Engineer

PRI is recruiting a Process Engineer, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Active positive contribution to the commissioning of the Process Plant
• Continually monitor the plant environment to ensure the safety of yourself and other workers
• Continually monitor the performance of the plant and readily address all issues
• Minimising delays through rapid response to uncontrolled events
• Assist the Process Plant technical workforce
• Manage the reagent budget with the support of the Senior Engineer
• Assist in the development of the Process Plant production accounting and reconciliation systems
• Provide technical assistance to Process Plant operational crews for the optimisation of the circuit
• Lead optimisation projects on the Process Plant
• Organise metallurgical surveys and test-work to ensure optimum operating conditions
• Liaise with laboratory personnel to ensure the appropriate turnaround time for sample results
• Provide ongoing reporting and data analysis in relation to the condition of the processing facility

Requisites

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy and/or Process Engineering or equivalent
• 5 + years’ experience in a similar role preferably with a primary flotation focus
• Plant start-up and commissioning experience highly desirable
• Graphite processing experience highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
• Good computer skills with intermediate MS Office (Word and Excel etc) and data base skill level
• Significant knowledge of fixed plant control systems
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
