Pediatric Technical Adviser

CCS - Centro de Colaboração em Saúde is recruiting a Pediatric Technical Adviser, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Work in close collaboration with MoH, providing technical support for the development, expansion and management of Pediatrics HIV/AIDS and Infant’s Health programs
• Develop linkages with MTCT programs towards expanding early diagnosis of HIV in children and make the follow-up of exposed children
• Assist MoH in the adaptation and implementation of international policies and recommendations in the field of pediatrics and in the development of quality tools, supervision, program evaluation and training materials
• Develop linkages with PMTCTprogram towards expanding early diagnosis of HIV in children and make the follow-up of exposed children
• Work in coordination with Donors and other clinical partners in the field of pediatrics
• Provide technical support to provincial, district and health unit’s teams in order to strengthen the management capacities of the pediatrics program
• Lead with relevant staff the drafting of monthly, quarterly and semiannual technical reports (both for Government entities and for the donors and other partners), as well as articles of documentation, lessons learned, case studies and other materials necessary for the Organization and for the donors in the field of Pediatrics
• Perform any other tasks that may be required

Requisites

• Degree in Medicine, preferably with specialization in Pediatrics or a proved experience of 5 years of work with pediatrics and HIV/AIDS
• Professional experience in Mother and Child Health, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission, pediatric Care and Treatment including anti-retroviral treatment, Tuberculosis and other OIs
• Proved experience in management, supervision and monitoring and evaluation of programs
• Availability to travel throughout the Provinces/Districts
• Capability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Portuguese
• Good knowledge of English
