Operations Supervisor

Heading is recruiting a Operations Supervisor, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• The day to day loading and unloading of vehicles, the storage of Customers products and the timely and safe execution of the activities
• The operations supervisor as to make sure that people under his guidance will take particular care that the products of the Customers are maintained in quality and in quantity while in the installations
• Motivate terminal staff to provide the expected service by the Customers and optimize the terminal operations and behavior of the terminal personnel to achieve maximum HSSEQ objectives, operational efficiency and profitability for the Company
• Ensure that at any time people in the field are well trained and respect operational and HSSQ procedures
• Interact with The Customer Service Supervisor and the Planner for the daily organization of all the handling and storage activity in the plant

Requisites

• High school education in a technical curriculum Proven post scholar certificates of petroleum, chemical, HSSEQ and/or HR related training programs are an asset
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar function, preferable in the liquid storage industry
• Good understanding of the terminal business and its drivers covering the human, technical, operational and HSSE point of view
• Experience in an international multi-cultural background
• Good established computer skills, more specifically the Microsoft and the Lotus Notes applications Being familiar with industrial Scada systems
• Beside Portuguese, an acceptable level in English reading and spoken is imperative
