Nutrition Education Program Assistant

ADPP Moçambique

ADPP is hiring a Nutrition Education Program Assistant for Machava, in Maputo.

Duties
  • Assist in the planning of the program activities and strategies
  • Assist in maintaining monitoring/evaluation efforts, reporting activities, and forms
  • Ensure that the logistics and supplies to support the nutrition education program is implemented as planned in all areas required
  • Visit and conduct, assist, and/or provide oversight as needed for regular trainings for targeted school teachers, teacher college students, and others, as required and requested
  • Participate in meetings, calls, emails, and other communications regarding the program
  • Assist the CENC, WISHH, and ADPP to problem-solve to assist all program participants to achieve program objectives
  • Interact with ADPP personnel, Ministry of Education personnel, and others, as requested or required to achieve objectives
  • Observe the organizational chart and lines of communication in all activities for the program
  • Maintain daily activity records
  • Report on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Primarily make logistical arrangements for activities, including training activities, consultant visits, and others, as requested
Requisites
  • High school or college education (preferred)
  • Experience in community programs in school or in another employment
  • Training and teaching experience in school or in another employment
  • Adequate computer skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Flexibility in schedule and able to travel, as required for position, to TTC sites in all Mozambican Provinces and in the Maputo Province area where the program will take place
  • Self-motivated and ability to work under deadlines and pressure with a good attitude
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Team-oriented to work well with others with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral communications
  • Confidence to work with program leadership and positively represent the program in meetings with ADPP, other public sector partners, and teacher colleges
