Movercado Manager

PSI is recruiting a Movercado Manager, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Lead PSI in applying Movercado – a SMS based technology – within Mozambique
• Manage relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure PSI and our partners optimize Movercado within their programs to connect with beneficiaries and enable beneficiaries greater access to information, products and services
• Design large and small projects with specific attention to the ease of the beneficiary experience, collecting essential data, and envision how data can be analysed to continuously enhance program impact
• Develop strategic partnerships with government, the private sector, and NGOs to benefit from the growing Movercado ecosystem of information, products, services, and distribution network
• Develop and manage the Movercado departmental and project budgets
• Establish, analyse, and monitor project KPI tables with in continuous feedback loop with project managers to assist Movercado users to analyse and process data
• Foster relationships with technology partners based in Portugal, South Africa, and Mozambique
• Manage a team of Movercado customer services agents and data analyst

Requisites

• Minimum five years’ experience in Project Management and/or Business Development
• Comfort with quantitative information and data analytics
• Ability to learn and understand behaviours across diverse users (ex. rural farmers to urban adolescents)
• Proven track record managing relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented
• Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills
• Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills required
• Excellent knowledge of verbal and written English and Portuguese
• Prior experience in a fast-paced small company environment
• Position is based in Maputo with travel within Mozambique
