Description
  • Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. For our work in the Idai/Kenneth Humanitarian response we are looking for a Roving Meal Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)
  • Contract Duration: Until 29/02/2020
Duties
MEAL system development and implementation
  • Implement the MEAL framework to monitor the Idai response, and gather information for reporting
  • Support Idai Response Team and implementing partners’ M&E staff in implementing the MEAL framework and tools
Data gathering, Information management and reporting
  • In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator support the design/updating of data collection tools for the Idai response
  • Collect M&E information periodically and write monitoring reports
Capacity building for Oxfam and Partner staff
  • Support the MEAL Coordinator with capacity building of Oxfam Humanitarian Staff and Implementing Partners on the use of MEAL tools and concepts
  • Undertake periodic monitoring and technical support visits to project sites to assess progress against agreed MEAL system and recommend corrective actions as appropriate
Requisites
  • We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
  • Graduation in a relevant area from a recognized university
  • At least 3 years’ experience of work in development or humanitarian context projects with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning tools and systems
  • Experience in working with various partners (government, INGOs, civil society organizations and private sector)
  • Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English
  • Experience of working in a multicultural team is desirable
  • Working experience in humanitarian response(s) is desirable
