Aldelia is recruiting a Materials Management Lead (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Provide day to day leadership for the Supply Base material and equipment handling functions; supporting onshore drilling operations, including direct supervision of materials management and Integrated Logistics Services [ILS] provider personnel, assuring that all Well Delivery activities in Mozambique are conducted safely and responsibly and in accordance with the One Company’s SHE Excellence Approach, industry good practice, and the law
  • The purpose of this and all Company’s Well Delivery roles is to Safely Delivery Quality wells and to personally contribute to Mozambique skills transfer
  • Drive Company’s Life Saving Rules & SHE Performance within the Temane 3 Supply Base
  • Creates safe working conditions by implementation and compliance with Company’s Life Saving Rules & SHE Management plan
  • Implements, participates and maintains records of daily toolbox talks with the Supply Base materials personnel
  • Fully responsible for care and custody of Company’s and Contractor materials and equipment
  • Monitors, inspect and record all inbound and outbound materials and equipment
  • Ensures materials and equipment is located, stored, segregated and fully traceable in accordance with good oilfield practices
  • Carries out the necessary Job Safety Analysis [JSA] or Risk Assessment [RA] for routine and non-routine Supply Base material handling operations
  • Oversees operational planning for routine and non-routine material, equipment and transport request
  • Liaison with Company Drilling, relevant Contractors including QA/QC providers ensuring the flawless point to point delivery of materials and equipment
  • Agrees and continually monitors the ILS maintenance & inspection program with ILS Workshop Manager and Journey Management. Coordinator to ensure the timely and regular maintenance and serviceability of all land transport vehicles and mechanical handling equipment. All records shall be periodically inspected to ensure conformity with the agreed program
  • Shall perform periodic inventory counts and recording of same to ensure inventory accuracy at all times
  • Ensures all lifting accessories, CCU’s and mechanical handling equipment being used for loading and offloading are maintained, fully certified and fit for purpose prior to use
  • Carries out the timely and accurate processing of Request for Materials [RFM], ensuring materials and equipment have been safely and timely loaded out for delivery in accordance with well site drilling activities and are delivered to the correct location at the requested time
  • Ensures material receiving, Overage, Shortage and Damage [OS&D] and non-conformities are recorded and transmitted to the responsible person for proposed resolution
  • Under the direction of the SHE Department, participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond in emergency situations
Requisites
  • 20 years logistics and materials management experience within an Oil and Gas environment, predominantly drilling operations
  • 15 years exposure to Supply Base Management operations
  • 10-15 years exposure to remote geographical operations
  • Experience and demonstrated competency of materials management processes and procedures including inventory management, warehouse management and materials and equipment movement records
  • Experience with mechanical handling and crane lifting activities preferred
  • Technical Well Operations knowledge and experience is essential
