PHCC is recruiting a Managing Director (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Provide strategic direction and input to the business
 
- Identify and initiate strategies that will add growth to the business to ensure its long term profitability and survival
 
- To plan, prepare and monitor the business plan and budget so as to maximize profitability
 
- Manage relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts
 
- Manage cost saving initiatives
 
- Identify and drive new business opportunities in the Africa region’s sphere
 
- Ensure effective management of client retention and customer service levels
 
- Manage quality management and Best Practice implementation
 
- To maintain close contact with the workforce through key managers to ensure feedback opportunities, the maintenance of good morale and a high standard of staff integrity and honesty
 
- Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
 
Requisites
- 5-7 + years’ experience in a business and/or operational senior management position
 
- Experience within a corporate entity or multinational and the relevant reporting in this environment would be advantageous
 
- Experience within the security, services or logistics environment would be preferred
 
- Strong commitment, leadership and management skills
 
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, marketing and negotiation skills
 
- Ability to maintain strong ethical and professional values
 
- Autonomous and results orientated, with a clear determination to succeed
