Maintenance Manager

Capital Outsourcing is hiring a Maintenance Manager for Beira.

Duties

• This position will report directly to the Operations Manager, and will be responsible for the following areas of the plant: Wheat Mills; Maize Mill; Packaging Department; Silo; Site Maintenance
• Implementation of an effective computerized maintenance management system
• Restructuring of the maintenance staff in order to achieve our workmanship and service levels objectives
• Training and development of the maintenance staff
• Maintain consistent quality standards of workmanship
• Implementation of maintenance performance management and monitoring systems – MDWT
• Implementing adequate standards of workplace safety and to maintain an acceptable level of workplace housekeeping and hygiene
• Maintenance of all buildings, gardens and roadways on site
• Maintenance of all utility services which include: Electricity supply; Water supply; Sewerage and storm water; Boilers and compressors

Requisites

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering qualification
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, in the milling industry (essential)
• Management experience
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices
• Leadership, delegating and communicating skills
• Hands-on approach and management by walking around
• Ability to train and develop team members
• Passion for doing things right the first time
• Ability to enforce standards and performance through an effective performance management and appraisal system
• Sense of urgency with regards to production requirements
• Passion to enforce good maintenance management practices
