Logistics Coordinator

Duties

• The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the logistics operations, including planning, organizing, and overseeing the efficient transportation and storage of goods
• The main responsibilities will include: developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize operational efficiency
• Coordinating shipments, ensuring delivery deadlines are met; managing transportation costs and negotiating with suppliers and carriers
• Tracking and monitoring the movement of goods and addressing any issues or delays
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations
• Maintaining accurate records of logistics activities and generating reports
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements
• Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any logistics-related issues

Requisites

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably with oil, gas or minerals industry
• In-depth knowledge of logistics procedures, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is required
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license
