Junior Due Diligence Officer

Heading Moçambique

Heading is recruiting a Junior Due Diligence Officer, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Ensure that the EPC Contract assigned is managed in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and conditions and that Company’s interests are always protected:
  • Administer contractual correspondence, change orders logs and filing.
  • Review requests for Change Orders and prepare / validate change order documents.
  • Review, analyze and recommend course of action on Contractor claims, prepare counter claims, liaise with Project team & HQ as necessary.
  • Prepare the necessary change Orders and Amendments in line with Project and Company procedures.
  • Liaise with the relevant technical teams (DUET) to ensure that the technical requirements are adequately incorporated into the Change Orders process and collaborate with various cross functional departments to ensure timely preparation and readiness.
  • Ensure all contractual certificates, guarantees and insurances required under the Contract are in place and received in due time.
  • Review the processing of Contractor’s monthly applications for payment and verify invoice submissions.
  • Liaise with Lead Contract Engineers and Quantity Surveyors at Site.
  • Liaise, interface and support Company on Site Management team providing all contractual support on a day-to-day basis.
Requisites
  • Knowledge of anticorruption laws and regulations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, French Sapin II Law, and the U.K. Bribery Act 2010.
  • Strong self-starter, energetic team player with ability to collaborate with colleagues in a diverse environment across a complex organization.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Experience with researching complex data from various sources and use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • English language is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Business Administration or other related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of controlling, purchasing or contract management, AML/KYC policies.
  • Professional experience: > 3 years required in Contract & Procurement with Due Diligence.
  • Main Personal Abilities: Basic Human Relations, Problem Solving and
  • Planning/organizing/coordinating/controlling and results oriented.
