GAIN is recruiting a Junior Associate, to be based in Maputo with frequent travel, Mozambique.
Duties
- Provide support to the Project Manager in the development of the activities, content and materials, supervision and monitoring of the activities under the nutrition portfolio
- Responsible for modifying the layout of formative research conducted in urban areas of Nampula Province, and support the coordination and implementation of the formative research to be conducted in rural areas of the province
- Support in the coordination and implementation of the pre-test of activities and materials and manage all communications with the design/creative company
- Complete a variety of other tasks related to the implementation of the nutrition portfolio of GAIN
- Support other GAIN programs as required
Requisites
- Have strong knowledge of community outreach programs in Mozambique and will have a previous working relationships with different stakeholders from business, government, and the Ministry of Health
- Have proficiency in Portuguese and English
- Experience with assisting donor-funded or public health programs is highly desirable
- Ideally, hold a professional university degree in Nutrition or have an equivalent combination of education and equivalent work experience
