PSI is recruiting an IT Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Coordinate provision of IT support to all PSI/Mozambique offices countrywide
 
- Manage IT assets, Information Security and Control
 
- Responsible for the overall security of PSI/Mozambique’s information systems and networks, including data backups and restoration as per policy
 
- Ensure operation and maintenance of networks, servers, systems, software and hardware equipment in accordance with PSI/Mozambique and international best practices to ensure business continuity
 
- Manage organization’s Internet access to maintain maximum internet availability for good working environment in accordance with the IT policy
 
- Coordinate the helpdesk function which includes providing internal clients support and advice while resolving at the shortest time possible IT user problems
 
- Audit hardware and software systems and assess their outcomes and implement equipment acquisition and replacement plans
 
- Oversee IT Hardware and Software contracts and liaise with suppliers and other relevant partners
 
- Reviewing the IT Policies and procedures to ensure their relevance and alignment to the overall strategic plan of the organization
 
- Managing the IT section and proposing necessary training for users and technical staff to effectively meet the emerging challenges in PSI/Mozambique
 
- Review the adequacy and allocation of IT resources by meeting the organizations strategic plan and annual objectives
 
- Liaise between PSI/Mozambique and PSI/Washington in the support of all relevant global PSI systems
 
Requisites
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
 
- Five years working experience in a relevant IT environment with extensive technical knowledge of LAN, WIFI and WAN Coverage
 
- IT Management Certification in hardware or software (MCSE, MCSD, MCCP, ITIL, Prince, PMP and/or, CISA) from a recognized body
 
- Management skills and proficiency in ‘VMware’ and ‘Netapp Infrastructure
 
- Proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases
 
- Proven experience using ‘Windows Server 2008’ and ‘Microsoft Exchange 2012’ will be an added advantage
 
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, network installation
 
- Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
 
- Understanding of complex information and requirements
 
- Good planning and Organization Skills

- Ability to drive change and innovation
 
- Working proficiency in Portuguese and English
