Industrial Painter – Offshore (m/f)

DI AFRICA is recruiting an Industrial Painter - Offshore (m/f), to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
Main Responsibilities
  • Completes operational requirements by painting within the allotted time and specifications of painting projects
  • Expediting work results
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Reviewing professional publications
  • Establishing personal networks
  • Participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
  • Carry out painting activities using hand brush and surface preparation using power tools
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment prior to operation
  • Identify project issues and ensure that they are updated in issues register
  • Participate in Lessons Learnt sessions
  • Perform other project specific tasks as may be assigned by Project Manager or Operations Manager
HSE responsibilities
  • Actively participate in HSE activities, including tool box meetings and HSE meetings
  • Proactively Identify hazards and assess risks related to project activities
  • Involved in the identification of environmental aspects and impact, including the consideration of environmental impact as regards project activities
  • Liaises with HSE and vendors to conduct job hazard analysis as applicable
  • Identify and notify HSE manager of any legal or other requirements related to project activities.
  • Ensure the establishment of HSE objectives before February each year
  • Complies with all health, safety environmental as well as legal requirements to which Prezicon subscribes
QMS responsibilities
  • Actively take part in QMS activities and processes
  • Ensure Quality Objectives are set, tracked and monitored accordingly
  • Complies with company quality policy as well as regulatory & legal requirements to which company subscribes to
  • Ensure risks and opportunities are identified and documented in appropriate template
  • Ensure Stakeholder’s Matrix are established
  • QMS conformance and customer focus promotion
  • Complies with ISO 9001:2015
Requisites
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position (5 years is ideal)
  • English proficiency: Fluent
  • BOSIET training certification (will be paid by the company if the candidate do not have it)
  • Valid Passport for 6 months minimum (BI not accepted)
  • Covid-19 vaccination card
  • Criminal record up to date
  • Availability to travel: Durban, SA and Pemba, Offshore
  • Nationality: Mozambican Only
