HSE Supervisor OSBL A or B

Duties

• Reporting to the HSE Head OSBL Infrastructure & Buildings and the HSE Manager, the main activities of the HSE supervisor OSBL A or B include: to inspire safety commitment in client and all contractors and subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example; to ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment
• Proactively support the drive for zero fatality program and lead by example and promote company golden rules and stop card program; to contribute to project HSE improvement plans and targets and actively support project HSE initiatives and campaigns; to ensure all unsafe acts and conditions are recorded on an observation system (on the day of the event) along with immediate action taken and any further action required to prevent recurrence
• To contribute to daily, weekly and monthly HSE performance reports; to undertake and record findings from regular inspections of contractors work locations against their HSE plans and contract requirements; attend morning toolbox talks and pre-starts; and be actively engaged in the talk; promptly notify line manager of accidents and incidents in line with company procedures, and where required participate / lead incident investigations
• To ensure actions from inspections, incidents and audits are implemented on site and properly closed; to participate to weekly joint safety tour; to ensure that all mandatory training is undertaken in line with agreed timescales; to always give feedback to contractor’s supervisor on both positive and negative observations before leaving the work area; assist in the preparation of toolbox talks and other HSE communication material

Requisites

• Degree in Engineering or related area
• Professional Experience of 10 to 15 years in the sector
• Previous experience in similar position, with at minimum between 5-10 -years as supervisor
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required
• Fluency in Portuguese and/or French is advantageous
• Mozambican Nationality is an advantage
