Grants Programs Officer

Adra Moçambique

Adra Mozambique is recruiting a Grants Programs Officer, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties
  • Develop research methods and systems that detect and track upcoming and publically announced calls for proposals and concept notes
  • Write concept papers and proposal for potential donors in close collaboration with executive management and rest of the Programmes Committee (PROCOM) Team
  • Assist in writing major proposals, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines and deadline
  • Draft technical and financial proposals to secure funding
  • Guide the proposal writing process from short and concise concept papers to elaborating major proposals including as needed logic framework, causal framework, key indicators, M&E plan, budgets, etc
  • Do research and identify new funding sources. Developing ideas and projects for formal collaboration with targeted development agencies, policy, and research organizations
  • Manage Regional Office or associate consultant contributions to proposal development
  • Be responsible for the entire proposal process, including research and investigation, participating in meetings with partners during the span of developing and writing of the proposal, including the final editing, printing, binding and shipping
Requisites
  • E = Essential D = Desirable
  • Mozambican Nationality D
  • Developing budgets and grant monitoring systems D
  • Experience in writing proposals for national and international organizations like UN, USAID, USDA, EU, And Global Fund E
  • Knowledge of rural and social development issues in Africa and Project types in Mozambican Context D
    Institutional fundraising– minimum three years D
  • Has a track record of being the writer of previous successful proposals from USD 1 million and abole D
    Minimum Bachelor Degree in development or related areas, Master is an added advantage E
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet search tools E
    Excellent communication skills in English at a high level, as most proposals are in English E
  • Ability to handle many tasks at the same time for a number of proposals in production at the same time –and always to meet the required deadlines E
  • Demonstrable understanding of issues related to international development and Environment in Africa E
  • A sincere commitment to the mission and goals of ADRA Mozambique and ADRA’s development approach E
  • Capacity to conceptualize programs interventions E
  • Comfortable planning and delivering multiple activities under pressure to strict
    deadlines and high levels of precision E
  • Able to communicate complex issues in a concise, accessible and engaging way E
  • Able to work as part of a team in a co-operative and supportive way, particularly
    with staff for whom English is not their first language E
