Electrical Engineer

Twigg Exploration & Mining is recruiting a Electrical Engineer, to be based in Balama, Mozambique.

Duties

• Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and safe execution of all Electrical Engineering Projects on the Balama Processing Plant
• Responsible for maintaining the Statutory Equipment on the Balama Process Plant ensuring that the Statutory Electrical
• Equipment Register is kept up to date and any electrical Regulatory Reporting is accurate and on time as per Syrah and Government Regulations
• Report all incidents, health anomalies and workplace health hazards via the approved Incident and Hazard Reporting procedures
• Develop and manage cost saving initiatives that ensure increased availability for the Balama Operations
• Assist in the development and management of an internal audit program for Balama Operations maintenance work
• Preparation and contribution to the budgeting process as a part of the Maintenance Engineering team in relation to Project work parts, consumables and maintenance costs
• Provide technical advice and support to the Senior Team as required

Requisites

• Qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline
• 5 + years maintenance engineering experience in mineral processing/heavy industry; Flotation/Milling/Filtration experience highly desirable
• knowledge of HV Electrical switching and regulatory requirements
• Ability to read and understand Electrical Line and Engineering Drawings
• Experience developing and executing preventative & shutdown maintenance strategies in a processing environment
• knowledge of Process Plant control systems, PLC’s, HMI’s
• Computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills; Technical Drawing software experience desirable
