Edible Oil Refinery Manager

Description

• Job Purpose: To manage and optimize end-to-end edible oil refining & Soap Plant operations, ensuring safe production of high-quality Finished Goods at optimal cost, with compliance to food safety, statutory, and environmental standards

Duties

• Responsible for Planning, execution and control daily refinery operations and soap plant, Acid Oil and ETP operations and Handle Port Operations for the Oil receipts through Pipeline
• Monitor and optimize process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and Achieve production targets with maximum yield and minimum refining losses
• Ensure optimize Chemical and Utility consumptions and monitor critical quality parameters and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality deviations
• Should have knowledge in Production Module management in SAP to report daily production
• Ensure food safety compliance to meet ISO Food safety and HACCP requirements
• Plan and execute shutdowns, turnarounds, and debottlenecking activities and Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of refinery equipment
• Prepare shift rosters and ensure manpower productivity and Controlling of Stocks management
• Maintain statutory records and ensure audit readiness and material balance as per the agreed standard
• Prepare and control OPEX and maintenance CAPEX budgets
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and high-temperature processes & Enforce PPE usage, SOPs, and permit-to-work systems
• Ensure compliance with environmental norms related to effluent, emissions, and waste disposal
• Lead, train, and motivate refinery operators, supervisors, and engineers and foster a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement
• Drive process optimization, capacity enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives and Implement TPM, 5S initiatives
• Ensure SOPs, logbooks, and reports are accurate and up to date
• Support management in operational planning and strategic initiatives

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering / food technology
• 12- 15 years of experience in edible oil refining & Soap operations.
• Strong exposure in Multi feedstocks refinery processes for like Soya, Sunflower and Palm Oils
• Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and refinery economics.
• Process optimization and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership and team management
• Cost control and yield improvement
• Safety and compliance orientation
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
