GOtv is recruiting a Director Geral da GOtv, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties
  • Achieve financial, subscriber growth, operating profit and cash flow targets
  • Prepare input to the strategy, implement, communicate and execute the strategy
  • Monitor performance targets
  • Ensure Customer Experience - in line with standards
  • Identify business opportunities that is aligned with the strategy
  • Submit month-end reportsand maintain regular updates with country management
  • Monitor piracy activities and support anti-piracy initiatives
  • Monitor competitor landscape and device tactics and strategies to compete successfully
  • Ensure Fleet management and optimization of vehicles
  • Recruit staff in line with Budget and ensure staff orientation, training and development plans are devised and implemented
  • Rollout marketing and communication initiatives to drive demand for the product, support sales and marketing campaigns, sales channels, trade and Brand building initiatives
  • Ensure electronic media platforms (including Facebook, the Data Carousel and the websites) are up to date with correct and relevant information and campaigns
  • Ensure Barter time with FTA’s and Radio channels are optimized
  • Ensure brand and general advertising campaigns are aligned with Corporate CI, but develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market
  • Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships between Commercial Stakeholders, Agents, Retailers and Field Service Agents
  • Develop culture of customer centricity with sales, service and distribution channels to support initiatives
  • Providing the sales & field service teams with the value proposition and the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell & service the product (includes printed and electronic promotional material, hands-on product training and equipment)
  • Reviewing product data to ensure that the sales channels and trade is kept abreast of new developments regarding the product, channels or customer facing initiatives
  • Close liaison with the sales channels and the trade to assess the response to and suitability of current marketing and promotional material, sales initiatives and to ensure that printed promotional material is being used optimally
  • Set subscriber growth targets with sales channels and meet / exceed budgeted subscriber growth targets
  • Analysis and interpretation of sales and market data
  • Manage stock levels, stock turnover, analyze trends and ensure a zero tolerance for out-of-stock situations
  • Provide input into and support retention activities: attraction, retention and recovery/churn strategies
  • Support market research initiatives
Requisites
  • Business acumen and sound financial skills
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s degree in Business Management
  • 10 years’ experience in Business Management
  • 5 year Commercial experience running an enterprise at a senior management level
  • General management experience
