Renco is recruiting a Deputy Finance Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
Accounts Receivable (Billing) Management and Supervision
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the entire
accounts receivable cycle
- Analyze and improve billing workflows to reduce collection times (DSO - Days Sales Outstanding) and minimize discrepancies
- Prepare periodic reports on billing performance and conduct trade credit
analysis
International Treasury and FX Management
- Ensure compliance with foreign exchange regulations in the various countries where the Group operates, with a particular focus on African operations
- Monitor the Groups exposure to currency fluctuations. Propose and implement hedging strategies (e.g., forwards, options) in line with company policy
- Execute foreign currency buy/sell transactions, optimizing exchange rates and minimizing transaction costs
Financial Management and Banking Relations
- Actively manage short and long-term credit facilities, ensuring the necessary liquidity for business operations
- Support Senior Management in negotiating new credit facilities, reviewing existing terms, and ensuring compliance with bank covenants
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with national and international banking partners
Supervision of International Payments
- Supervise the entire international payments process, ensuring that transactions are executed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and international regulations
- Research and implement the most effective technological and banking solutions for managing cross-border payments
Requisites
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Treasury Specialist, Finance Manager, Controller) within multinational corporations, preferably in the industrial or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sectors
- In-depth knowledge of corporate treasury principles, cash management, and financial planning
- Proven experience in FX risk management and the use of hedging derivatives
- Familiarity with managing credit facilities and negotiating financing agreements
- Knowledge of international payment systems in Mozambique and related regulations
- Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and corporate e-banking platforms
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently resolve complex issues
- Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external (management, banks, operational teams)
- A proactive approach to tasks with keen attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural, and constantly evolving environment
