Dairy Sales and Marketing Manager

Duties

• He/she will lead the marketing strategy of a major dairy business based in Manica province
• He/she will promote and expand the sale of dairy products and meet challenging sales targets
• He/she will explore and develop successful alternative local markets, develop a campaign to promote the consumption of locally produced dairy products

Requisites

• The candidate must have previous experience in dairy marketing and promotion along the Beira corridor
• Clearly demonstrate past performance and meeting the minimum qualifications outlined below to be considered:
• Experience in dairy business development and management at least 5 years
• Excellent knowledge of the local dairy market – specifically in Manica and Sofala provinces
• Strong practical experience, including evidence of success in completing similar tasks in terms of size, design, and rigor
• Experience in marketing food-based products in a rural/semi urban setting
• Excellent hands-on training and communication skills gained with adult audiences particularly women, as well as (rural) youth is required
• Experience in running dairy business or dairy farmer cooperatives
• Experience of dairy processing and marketing of dairy products in Mozambique
• Formal qualifications in Business Development and Management
• Business management skills
• Good capacity for writing in English and preparing quality written products in respect of deadlines
• Ability to work independently and to take initiative
• Knowledge of the region preferred, ability to work within the international and multicultural environment and communicate effectively via e-mail and phone
