Dairy Producer Liaison Manager (m/f)

DanMoz is recruiting a Dairy Producer Liaison Manager (m/f), to be based in Chimoio, Mozambique.
Description
  • Such person would be the communication and technical contact between Danmoz and its producers. A thorough understanding of dairy farming and milk quality would be required in such a position. Such person would need to facilitate communication and form close working relationship between all stakeholders e.g. emerging dairy farmers, smallholder dairy cooperatives, national institutions and potential donors
  • Reporting & Supervision: This position reports to the General Manager
Duties
  • Liaising with all dairy producers, dairy cooperatives and other relevant dairy stakeholders
  • Developing and managing contractual obligations with producers including Dairy Coops
  • Educating producers on milk quality and sound dairy farming techniques
  • Providing solutions to ensure delivery of quality milk by all producers
  • Optimizing milk collection routes
  • Increasing farmer production
  • Facilitating the purchase and movement of animals between producers
  • Creating and maintaining sound reporting and milk quality measurement systems within the co-ops
  • Ensuring accurate registrations and electronic banking systems for rapid and effective payments
  • Contribute to the following activities:
  • Driving increased turnover
  • Improve overall transport efficiency
  • Reproduction planning for farmers
  • Feed and nutritional consulting
  • Animals husbandry and Milking techniques

Requisites
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications
  • Knowledge of Mozambique dairy industry especially dairy cooperatives
  • Sound inter-personnel skills
  • Minimum 5 years animal experience in the dairy field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Sound knowledge of milk quality
  • Professional proficiency in Portuguese; English an advantage
