According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, micronutrient malnutrition (MNM) is a major concern not only because large numbers of people are affected, but also because MNM is a risk factor for many diseases. contribute to high rates of morbidity and even mortality. Micronutrient deficiencies are estimated to account for about 7.3% of the global burden of iron deficiency and vitamin A deficiency at the top of the list.
