Construction Laboratory Technician (m/f)

Duties

• Ability to carry out the following actions; soil sampling in the field, compacting and soil moisture control, using the Troxler apparatus, DCP, proctor test, PI, granulometry of soils and aggregates
• Ability to conduct analysis of materials quality (concrete, bitumen, soils and aggregates)
• Ability to conduct the following tests: Compaction of MDS, UCS and CBR, compression of cubes,PI, Granulometry, ACV, 10% FACT, flakiness, ALD, Bareness, Sand equivalent, specific gravity of the materials, absorption, penetration and bitumen softening point and equipment calibration
• Understand some test standards such as AASHTO, ASTM, SABS, SATC and TMH1
• Understands testing methods and procedures

Requisites

• Must have at least 3 or more years of experience of Laboratory Technician work
• Must be a Mozambican national
• Must be fluent English and Portuguese
