Community Health Coordinator

Heading is recruiting for its client, a Community Health Coordinator, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Coordinates implementation of health programs for the communities around the project from planning, design, monitoring and auditing, promoting access to healthcare in alignment with internal policies, country regulations and international best practice
  • Maintains updated MoUs and contracts with implementation partners for the community health programs
  • Oversees and manages community health services implementation partners, including expenditure, performance metrics and reporting
  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, as required for the implementation and funding of community health programs and other Socio-Economic initiatives
  • Responsible to maintain updated the Community Health Management Plan and Community Malaria Control Plan submitted and approved by Project Lenders
  • Ensures compliance with ESMP HSE/Community Health requirements required under the IFC Performance Standards
  • Defines and monitors key performance indicators in close collaboration with the M&E team to enable measuring trends and impact of programs implementation
  • Develops reporting and monitoring tools adequate for the community health program frameworks. Develops and timely issues health reports as required
  • Establishes and maintains a system for storage of community health records in accordance with internal requirements and Mozambican legislation
  • Monitors and advises management of emerging health concerns in Mozambique and Southern African region
  • Health and medical service delivery to communities across the project site
  • Development and implementation of community health management and monitoring plans
  • Built and maintain strong and solid relationships with Mozambique government health authorities
Requisites
  • Licensed medical professional
  • Post graduate qualification in Public Health
  • At least 10 years’ experience managing public health aspects of which 5 years in industry-related settings
  • Conversant with usual business suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access databases)
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
