Aldelia is recruiting a Civil Engineering Supervisor (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Delivers in country (Mozambique) oversight and supervision on WD field civil construction activities and provides assurance that field activities are constructed in an efficient, technically competent, safe, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner
  • The purpose of this and all Company’s Well Delivery roles is to Safely Deliver Quality wells and to personally contribute to Mozambique skills transfer
  • Ensure Civil Engineering Projects are completed and are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work
  • Liaise with the Regulatory bodies, including SHE, review and make recommendations on health, safety and environmental regulations and strategies to ensure compliance

  • Provide progress reports as required to business and functional management teams. Project planning and scheduling
  • Monitor cost control activities and implementation of corrective actions as needed to achieve the established Project objectives
  • Ensure the collection of Project feedback and participate in post project review
  • Assist with technical enquiries from the civil engineering contractor
  • Maintain open communications with other site staff reviewing deliverables daily
  • Proactive coordination of interfaces with other functions both within the project teams, and partner organizations
  • Ensure objectives are understood by all personnel, and are delivered
  • Maintains continuous familiarity with daily operations to ensure full understanding of issues, operational problems and cost
  • Assist with the management of consultancy services in relation to construction activities, such as geo technics, surveying, structural design and engineering
  • Support Mozambican personnel in their achievement of their personal development plans and in turn Company's nationalization targets
  • Ensures SHE requirements are understood by all parties associated with construction activities and forms an integral aspect in all tasks
  • Proactively support Wells SHE performance and provides input to staff development and training strategies
  • Assist in the development of technical standards and guidelines to be used Regionally/Globally
  • Develop improvement initiatives within construction activities
Requisites
  • Minimum 5 years of oil and gas experience within a drilling contractor or upstream operator in remote locations
  • Bachelors or more advanced degree in civil engineering or construction highly valued
  • Advanced knowledge of industry normal practices associated with civil engineering and construction
  • Extensive experience in the construction and operation of facilities in relation to well drilling, infrastructure, logistics and camp facilities in remote and harsh locations
