Branch Service Head


RSM is recruiting for its client, a prestige Bank that will start operating in the mozambican market, a Branch Service Head, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
  • Develop and implement a business unit plan that facilitates the delivery of quality products and excellent customer service delivery across the bank’s branch network , including cash centers and Implant service
  • Develop and sustain a customer-focused service delivery organization
  • Ensure effective/efficient implementation of bank-wide policies with respect to branch operations
  • Supervise the administration of the vault through effective treasury management
  • Ensure proper documentation of all transactions and authorize transactions within approval limits
  • Review and approve retail credit applications within stipulated guidelines/limits
  • Supervise activities of operations staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to customers
  • Supervise counting of vault cash and verify agreement with cash register
  • Ensure that the unit has adequate allocation of resources to enable it meet stated objectives
  • Perform random batch checking of transactions by subordinates and query exceptional transactions
  • Verify for correctness the net position of branch account with CENTRAL BANK statement
  • Enforce compliance of transfer/swap of vault cash above branch holding limits
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Head Operations & IT
  • Define & evaluate goals/objectives for Tellers
  • Ensure all accounts are balanced at the end of day
  • Monitor utilization and maintenance of computer terminals and other valuable work equipment within the team
  • Perform other function as assigned by the COO
  • First degree in any Business related discipline
  • Masters in Business Administration or Banking & Finance and professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a bank/financial institution
  • Experience in banking operations will be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of banking operations (domestic and international)

  • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Good Oral & Written communication
  • Good documentation and process management skills
