CISM is recruiting a Advocacy Strategic Assistant, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Review of the strategic plan for MALTEM Advocacy and Communication in the context of the Initiative for the Malaria Elimination Initiative in Southern Mozambique
 
- Implementation of the strategic plan for MALTEM Advocacy and Communication in the context of the Initiative for the Malaria Elimination Initiative in Southern Mozambique
 
- Review of the advocacy strategic plan for the CISM
 
- Implementation of the advocacy strategic plan for the CISM
 
- Development of the fundraising plan for MALTEM activities
 
- Implementation of the fundraising plan
 
- Development of a procedures manual (including rules and templates for the drafting of the strategic and administrative documents of the Department)
 
- Final review of the advocacy strategic plan of MALTEM and CISM
 
- Evaluation of the advocacy strategic plan of MALTEM and CISM
 
- Working papers for policy makers (TBD)
 
- Opinion papers for private sector (TBD)
 
Requisites
- Education and Experience
 
- Degree level
 
- Work experience at the national and
international level in political affairs, development, public relations, communications, media, advocacy, fundraising and/or marketing 
- Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English. Other languages an asset
 
- Knowledge of the functioning of public institutions, international organizations and Civil Society Organizations
 
- Must be detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
 
- Ability to communicate and interact competently and professionally at all levels within a diverse environment
 
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills
 
- Ability to redact institutional strategic documents
 
- Must have self-motivation, eagerness to grow professionally and commitment to self-development
 
- Advanced computers skills (PC-Windows preferred)
