Accountant

Duties

• Record and process invoices received, ensuring accurate matching to contracts in SAP and full compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements
• Monitor invoice approval workflows and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely processing
• Liaise with company contractors and suppliers on invoice and payment-related matters
• Perform supplier ledger reconciliations and investigate, resolve, and document discrepancies
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries in accordance with accounting policies
• Calculate and post accounting entries for month-end processes, including depreciation, capitalization, and other closing adjustments
• Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
• Assist during audits conducted by external auditors, headquarters, government authorities, and other stakeholders
• Ensure proper filing, organization, and retention of accounting documentation in line with company procedures
• Preparation of ad hoc accounting analysis

Requisites

• Degree in Finance, Business Admin. Professional or other related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience of working in the Accounting Department of a well-regarded global/multinational organization
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with SAP or similar accounting system
• Advanced MS Office skills. (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong Analytical & Organizational Skills
• Must be a professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility and character
