A2 (L) IT Support Officer

British High Commission Maputo is recruiting a A2 (L) IT Support Officer, to be based in Maputo.

Main Purpose of the job
  • Ensuring that the British High Commission team IT and associated IT equipment function, are maintained and kept fit for purpose in accordance with service and standards set out in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Responsible for resolving IT problems and advising staff on use of system whilst fulfilling key corporate services support function
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support to end users both through a help desk function and via desk-side support; the identification, analysis, diagnosis, resolution and/or escalation of technical issues
  • Support to the IT infrastructure including installation, configuration, and testing
  • IT security including user account management and system monitoring and reporting
  • Maintain hardware and software inventories
  • Manage and maintain Post’s SharePoint and web-pages
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Board of Management on IT issues including health and safety and business continuity
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT support role
  • Excellent oral and written English and Portuguese
  • An accredited IT qualification would be an advantage

  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm; Fridays from 8am to 1pm
