I am a Financial analyst with a degree in Financial Management and Accounting, from the University of South Africa (UNISA). I have 7 years working experience in my field and I have worked in numerous multicultural and diverse environments. For the last five years I have been working for a multinational company that leads in the Transportation sector, with its state-of-the-art locomotives, services and parts. As finance manager I’m responsible for FP&A, controllership, cash collections, STAT and Tax compliance for all the Sub-Saharan Africa countries which include Angola, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Zambia. I have been pivotal in bringing down the past dues in AR by establishing weekly rhythms and processes with each of our customers in the regions that we have active revenue contracts. Where before we had a 30% past due rate, we now have it dropped to a 5% rate and the aim is to get it to 0% by end of first quarter.
