Summary
Qualification I will fit suitably in the position since I have more than 3 years of experience and the 3 highest degrees in Ecology (HSc, MSc degrees, and Ph.D. academic degrees that boost my skills to tackle comfortably any scientific advice in the position. Work experience I acquired experience of more than 10 years now, working as an ecologist to safeguard environmental and social issues in protected areas with terrestrial ecosystems, dealing with fisheries and agriculture vs wildlife concerns in Maputo National Park, Quirimba Biosphere Reserve, and Niassa Special Reserve. In the Maputland landscape, I involved communities of the buffer area of Maputo National Park (Madjadjane, Massuane, and Changalane), to mitigate conflict by reproaching them and creating synergies with authorities, employing some of the members, chosen by himself, in the small revenue program, to remove eucalyptus trees along Futi River, that causes water river by evapotranspiration of trees. I saw it as an ecological problem for the park and wildlife and a social problem for the communities surrounding the park. I presented the issue to my coordinator (Former Job in 2002) in Endangered Wildlife Trust, and with funds from Peace Park Foundation, we removed the Trees along the River in 6 months. The funds paid to the community decided to rehabilitate the bridge damaged by heavy rain, the main access roads, and the primary school. Another good example of effective implementation, I experienced in (2007-2010) 4 years of Quirimba National Park, as Head of the Research Department(Acting park warden), under a WWFMOZ, contract. amongst various duties in marine and terrestrial responsibilities, I brought a new management vision of biodiversity issues, first of all promoting sustainability through a Memorandum of Understanding between institutions that were conflicting with Park in fishery management of Cabo-Delgado (IIP, IDPPE, and others).
