I am a General Practitioner with over 7 years experience in Public Health mainly in low resource countries, with leadership experience in managing teams with high levels of responsibility and currently working as a consultant in the position of health and nutrition officer at UNICEF-Zambezia. I worked for 3 years at the World Health Organization, as Team Leader and Health Emergency Officer, in Cabo Delgado province. I have an MSc in Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a degree in General Medicine, with special focus on outbreak planning and implementation studies and communicable disease management, research and disease risk assessment in emergency situations, prevention, risk management of common diseases in tropical areas. As a national emergency officer , I have carried out my duties dilgently and covered range of activities including: development of mental health and psycho-social support programmes, Sexual and Reproductive Health programme, Gender Based Violence programme, Nutrition programme, HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis programme, coordinator of health partners. I have professional experience as a general practitioner at the Central Hospital of Beira, teaching at the Catholic University of Mozambique - Beira in the courses of general medicine and higher nursing in the disciplines of Community Health, Anatomy, Physiology. I was a collaborator at the Hospital de Santa Maria - Portugal - Lisbon, in Pediatric Intensive Care.
