
Jose Jorge Rosario holds over 15 years of experience implementing community engagement programs in addition to the design and management of education and health programs focused on youth, advocacy, gender-responsive, adolescent-friendly programming and Child Protection. He has extensive experience in managing programs involving national and community level stakeholders. He also worked as a university lecturer in many universities and as a provincial technical officer for FhI360 on community programs in Zambezia. He did much for the youth development skills, Child Protection and girls on premature marriages. Jose Jorge Rosario also has significant experience in working for emergency program, having worked for SNV on youth skills development skills on Value chain development programs and child protection. He is also skilled at assessing organizational capacity and developing formal and on-the job training and capacity building processes. While working as a program manager at Care for Life and as a provincial technical officer at FHI360, he promoted different training package programs for youth, community leaders and women on education and health with special focus on community engagement, methodologies based on the principles of empowerment and sustainable livelihoods and emphasis on cultural and gender issues. Jose holds a master’s in education curriculum, a master’s in public health, further to a bachelor’s degree in education. He also worked as a community Engagement specialist for Actionaid. He is also fluent in Portuguese, English and the local languages spoken in the central and northern provinces of Mozambique.
