
Mr. Belmiro Américo Sousa has 18 years’ experience with GRM and on large donor-funded projects at provincial and national levels. This includes experience in technical areas such as HIV care and treatment, OVC, PSS, early childhood development, gender integration, primary prevention for adolescents, HIV and GBV prevention for AGYW, SBCC, and inclusive education. Mr. Sousa has 14 years of experience in project design, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of activities. He has provided TA to CBOs and INGOs in proposal development, budgeting, project implementation, reporting, financial management, including monitoring and performance tracking using the High Frequency Reporting systems, and the Quality Leadership and Accountability approaches. Additionally, Mr. Sousa has 12 years’ experience in development of project guidance, SOPs, and training materials for community health programs, including TOTs and M&E of training programs. He has participated in GRM-led Technical Working Groups and coordinated closely with government ministerial counterparts (MISAU, MGCAS), CSOs, and research institutions on multi-sectoral activities, including the development of family-centered CM SOPs and tools for OVC programs and adaptation to the Mozambican context of the Psychoactive and Psychosocial Rehabilitation toolkit for children in emergencies. Mr. Sousa has led a team of senior technical officers and consultants in the PEPFAR/USAID-funded COVida Project for over 5 years. He has coordinated capacity strengthening support and technical assistance to local primes to support them in becoming model local partners for USAID. Mr. Sousa has excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database software, and graphic design.
