Summary

C. Datizua graduated in Ecology and Conservation of Biodiversity and he is currently a Master's Degree candidate (all but dissertation) in Management and Conservation of Biodiversity. He holds a vast work experience as a biodiversity researcher and environmental consultant. He has been working as a researcher under a range of projects focused on biodiversity conservation in Mozambique, with emphasis on the Tropical Important Plant Areas in Mozambique Project (TIPAs) and the Biodiversity Information for Sustainable Development Project (BID). He is currently co-coordinator of two projects focused on the conservation of threatened species according to IUCN criteria and categories, namely: Protect endangered plant species of Panda Mecrusse Forest in Mozambique, sponsored by the Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP); and Distribution and Population ecology survey of the critically endangered Warneckea sessilicarpa and endangered Icuria dunensis in coastal northern Mozambique, sponsored by The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund. Under environmental consultancy, has been working in Assessment and Monitoring of Environmental Impacts of development projects, and also Assessment on the utilisation of natural resources by local communities for management plans.
