As a result of my work as a Social Researcher I gained experience in the design of technical proposals that includes developing a methodology, putting together a team with relevant expertise for the assignment, developing the budget. From the work with homeless children, with psychiatric patients, and with people suffering from diseases such as diabetes and cancer I enhanced my communication skills with people of different age groups and social strata. Working with vulnerable people made me develop my perception of the society in which I am inserted, allowing me to have better insight in health and education systems in Mozambique, and with that better assist my patients. More recently, with COWI Moçambique, I gained experience in writing proposals, procedures documents and reports, training and coordinating teams and preparing field logistics. Lastly I learned to work with tight deadlines and under pressure.
