Elizabeth Sambo

Summary

I am currently working under Accelerated Education Enterprise as a Supervisor with the Accelerated system of education. I have worked with Life International Hargeisa, Somaliland, focusing on Community empowerment through Education, Capacity Building and Health Humanitarian activities. I worked at Education Development Center (EDC), an American NGO in Somali Land as a communications and media volunteer, events planner and branding. I have also worked with I serve Africa, A Faith Based organization that outsources labour and skill to other organizations. My placement was Church Army Africa Carlile College, working as a Communications Developer and a teacher. I have worked for International Christian Centre as an Assistant Treasurer in the Masters Commission Department. I did video production with the same organization. I have also worked for Hope FM-a Christian radio station-as a researcher and a reporter in the news department. I’m competent in producing publications, video and audio coverage and editing. I have also organized media events. I have acquired teaching skills. I can disseminate and arrange information. I believe in transforming deprived societies by not only meeting their physical needs but also through education and enlightening them to their God given value and purpose as humans. I would like to see whole life long transformations for a continent known for diseases, destruction, disasters, draught, and death. I have been involved in community projects. Through masters commission, I have been able to do community outreach and build a School, Home, and toilet in the Arid area of Garrissa North Eastern Province, Kenya. I have also organized a tree planting project in the same area. I am dependable, hardworking, efficient and a supportive team player. I adapt to different environments and cultures easily.
