
Sérgio Jeremias Langa, Communicologist and Plastic Artist under the pseudonym Circle Langa, was born on June 5, 1980, in Maputo (Mozambique). He is Professor and Researcher of Media. He directs the degree course in Advertising and Marketing at the Escola Superior de Jornalismo (ESJ). He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences (Educommunication) from Eduardo Mondlane University; Master in Journalism and Editorial Studies; Graduated and Bachelor in Environment and Community Development from Universidade Pedagógica, and graduated in Advertising Design from Escola Nacional de Artes Visuais. Backed by Kuphaya publishing house, he published the third book in March 2023, in co-authorship, in Maputo. In 2022 he published his second book entitled “Television Hegemony and the Erosion of Local Cultural Values: a Look at the Educational Value of the Grids of Mozambican Broadcasts”, by the European publisher LAMBERT. In 2017, he published, in Maputo, the first book entitled “The Editorial Model of the Jornal Impresso in Mozambique”, under the seal of the university publisher Educar-UP. He has scientific articles published, with peer review, in several international journals between Europe and America, and has already been approved by several international universities to present scientific communications, with emphasis on Oxford University – in London; University of Aveiro – in Portugal; Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and Federal University of Maranhão – both in Brazil. Collaborates with local newspapers by publishing opinion articles on various topics.
