Heading is recruiting a Project Scheduler, to be based in Songo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules in line with contractual requirements and project execution needs
- Establish and manage baseline schedules, monitor actual progress and continuously forecast completion dates
Track critical path, milestones, float consumption, trends and deviations from baseline
- Work closely with site teams and monitor actual execution progress, interfaces, constraints and sequence changes directly from the project environment
- Consolidate inputs from engineering, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors and site execution into one consistent project schedule
- Identify delays, disruptions and interface issues at an early stage and report them in a timely and structured manner to project management
- Perform delay analyses, what-if simulations and mitigation/recovery planning to support proactive project steering
- Prepare schedule reports, progress updates, presentations and planning-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide schedule-based input for extension-of-time assessments, delay substantiation and claim support in close cooperation with Contract Management
- Help ensure that schedule records remain traceable, robust and suitable for later delay or disruption analysis where required
Requisites
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls or a comparable discipline
- Experience in project scheduling for industrial, EPC, infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong practical knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of schedule logic, critical path methodology, float, sequence logic and forecasting
- Ability to identify, document and assess delay events and their impact on milestones, critical path and completion
- Experience with delay analysis, disruption assessment, extension-of-time evaluations or claim-related schedule support is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with recognized delay analysis practice and international contract environments such as FIDIC, NEC or JCT is beneficial
- Experience in site-based roles or in cooperation with construction/installation teams is highly desirable
- Ability to prepare clear reports, presentations and structured schedule-based inputs for project management and contract management
- Clear and concise communication skills in English, both written and spoken
