CONTACT is recruiting a Fabrication Manager (Package 3), to be based in Afungi, Mozambique.
Duties
- Under the supervision of the EPCI Manager, will be responsible for the management and delivery of the fabrication scope within the Offshore Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) Contract, ensuring full compliance with project execution plans, technical requirements, HSE requirements, schedule, cost and quality objectives; reports to the EPCI Manager and is accountable for the delivery of the fabrication scope (Package 3), including export pipelines, MEG lines, rigid and flexible jumpers, manifolds, piles, umbilicals, PLETs/ILTs structures, sleepers, mattresses and associated subsea structures; coordination of fabrication activities executed by the MTV Consortium and subcontractors in international fabrication yards, ensuring readiness and preparedness of all fabrication works, monitoring ongoing fabrication activities, managing performance in terms of HSE, quality, cost and schedule, and ensuring that all fabrication deliverables are completed safely, on time and in accordance with technical specifications; ensure proper management of fabrication interfaces, resolution of technical and execution issues, and safe execution of loadout and transport activities of completed fabrication items; provide leadership to the Fabrication Team, ensuring proper organisation of resources, mobilisation and demobilisation in accordance with project phases, and implementation of effective processes and ways of working; ensure compliance with Company HSE requirements across all fabrication activities and support continuous improvement in fabrication execution performance; periodic travel to fabrication yards and other project locations
Requisites
- Secondary school level qualification
- Minimum 15 years experience in management of fabrication work scopes and minimum 20 years relevant experience in oil and gas fabrication activities
- Proven experience in large fabrication and offshore EPC/EPCI projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to assess fabrication execution plans and contractor capabilities
- Ability to represent the project professionally towards stakeholders
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Availability to work in international and multicultural environments
- Mozambican nationality
